Our caterpillars formed Chrysalides in their Pupal stage of development.They stay in this stage for 7-10 days, growing wings, before they emerge as butterflies.

Our Caterpillars are growing….fast!They are starting to hang from the tops and are getting ready for their pupal stage – chrysalis!

We got our caterpillars in the mail. We are hoping to watch them turn into butterflies. Here is a picture of them a few days after they arrived (and they had already GROWN in these pictures. They were so tiny when they arrived).

As an extension of our Sensory Bin…and an extension of our Bug Find Game within the Sensory Bin, we decided to Draw the bugs we saw….and make up our own bugs!I was shocked by how wonderful and creative Buga was at creating these bugs. I wasn’t sure...
