So simple a project I am sure everyone has seen, but it was suiting with our live caterpillars we are watching mature. So we make “caterpillars” out of egg cartons. I love how intense Buga looks as she paints her little guy.

Our caterpillars formed Chrysalides in their Pupal stage of development.They stay in this stage for 7-10 days, growing wings, before they emerge as butterflies.

We got our caterpillars in the mail. We are hoping to watch them turn into butterflies. Here is a picture of them a few days after they arrived (and they had already GROWN in these pictures. They were so tiny when they arrived).
