We made this cute little candy canes together this week. I know it is a Very Simple project, but for a two-year-old it is perfect and works on some very important motor skills.
First I cut out a candy cane shape in red.
Then I gave Buga a piece of white paper with lines drawn across it. She cut out the “strips” by cutting on the lines – a great fine motor skill builder.
I Just Love Her Look Of Concentration…
Determined to Cut Straight Lines!
Then she glued the white strips wherever she wanted on the red candy cane shape.

Then, together, we flipped it over and I helped her turn the candy cane while she cut the excess white away.
