Another season with a newer, smaller, little one has been the inspiration for the Sort Apples. These sorting apples are slightly larger than the Counting Apples found in the shop and come 6 to a set: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. They are painted with non-toxic soy based paint. My little one likes to plop them in the buckets, roll them around, or try to carry all of them in the crux of her shirt. She loves collecting things this way!
These apples are perfect for the Autumn season. Add them to a sensory bin or seasonal table and watch the colors inspire your little one to play with Fall. Collect them, count them, make rainbow apple pie. These sweet little apples are sure to please your little one’s Fall senses. These handheld manipulatives are great for transferring activities, counting, color sorting as well as a myriad of open-ended play possibilities.
These Apples measure approximately 1.25″, not including the stems. They have been hand painted with a nontoxic soy based paint and added a stem for added whimsy. They have been lightly sealed with a combination of organic beeswax and jojoba oil to keep the colors vibrant.
These apples are bigger than the Counting Apples also found in the shop. Pair the sets together for a game in differentiation…separating the small and the large.
Though they are larger than the Counting Apples, they are still pint-sized – be cognizant of the dimensions. If the stems were to come loose they could pose a choking hazard. My little ones have been enjoying them for our Play & Learn time but, as with all toys, supervision is recommended while little ones are exploring. Thank you!
