Pretend Play
If you don’t have a set like this you can make a Baking Sensory Bin. Use oatmeal as a base or flour or cornstarch. Add
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Whisk
- Wooden spoon
- Cupcake tins
After we read this book we looked online for different Christmas Cookies recipes to find one we wanted to make.

We also made “pretend cookies” and set up a Bakery for pretend play, math play, and Holiday Fun.
We also made these simple Holiday Wreaths from paper plates.
- Cut a big circle from the middle of the plate
- Cut green construction paper to look like holly leaves
- have little ones practice fine motor
skills by gluing the leaves to the circle
