In our Spring unit we have been doing a lot of work with bugs, worms, dirt, compost, etc. One rainy day I was looking for something to do with Buga and remembered this recipe from my childhood and thought it would be appropriate for our Spring theme….not to mention fun in the kitchen. Buga LOVES to make sweets in the kitchen because it’s one of the rare times she gets to indulge in yummy, sugary, goodness. Needless to say, this recipe was a hit….however she was not interested in “eating worms” – so we left out the gummies (fine by me!)
1/2 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 cup powdered sugar
3 1/2 cups milk
2 packages of instant French vanilla pudding
1 (12 oz.) carton Cool Whip
Little Clay Pots
5. Fill holes at the bottom of the clay pots.
6. Layer each pot with cookie crumbs and pudding mixture, ending with cookie crumbs (dirt) on top.
7. Chill in the refrigerator.
8. Add flowers and gummie worms before serving.
*Note* This recipe can be cut in 1/2 to make a smaller portion.
