I Choose Love

Love this! So well written too. My 5ur old is such a strong willed child with a mouth of a teenager as well. Some days it seems like no matter how much cooperation, and fun loving stuff. She will find the one thing that isn't right and turn it into hurricane thus ruining what was a nice day of family fun. I say things like shake it off and and stomp out the addidtude. We tell her to focus on the good things and the things she has instead of focusing on the things she doesn't or the bad. I have to say though if I lose my cool I always say I'm sorry. And she will always say she is sorry as well and I always make sure I tell her that I forgive her but definitely let her know it hurt my feelings and that it isn't acceptable to talk to people like that. I'm fine ding out this is very common among girls…

Found you on the SITS FB share today…..love love love this post. We've been struggling with "angry words" in our house a lot too…I'm gonna try your visual idea. My girls are very lovey-dovey and affectionate, so hopefully this will help!
