Honored to have this sacred role

Having a family is MAGIC. There are all kinds of families. And I have been so consumed in my own stuff that I haven’t been present enough in my kind of family to be witness to the magic. But it is so magical. I am so honored to be part of this system. These humans. Their personalities (even when they are harrrrrrd). But what a privilege to have them beside me when I sleep and in the morning when I wake. There is magic in our connectivity. In our supporting each other’s humanness and embracing each other’s imperfections. It sometimes feels like work or like a chore to show up …. but by and large …. I am so grateful to have the position and role of Mama in our system. I get to help nurture these connections and build their spirits and catch their broken hearts and hold them when they need support. How incredibly beautiful and sacred is that? ???
