I am always trying to come up with ways Buga can help me in the kitchen. She loves cooking – and eating – and I find that when she participates in cooking, she is more likely to eat our creations. It’s a great way to teach beginning food Science, and Math while having fun and seeing something tangible in return. I found this little “recipe” and knew I wanted to use it for our Summer time lessons. It’s a Beach in a Peach.
Ingredients:
Peach half (we used fresh because they are in season!)
Yogurt
Graham Crackers
Umbrella toothpick
1. Crush the Graham Crackers in a ziploc bag
2. Scoop yogurt into the peach half
3. Sprinkle Graham Cracker Crumbs on top of the yogurt
4. Finishing Touch – Insert umbrella toothpick
Yum.
